Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

NSI outcome

Anyone noticed that they seem to be handing out NSI/NI outcomes on the basis of some BS vague “behaviors”. Also it seems that supervisors are still hosting pre-assessment meetings and deciding who to drop before the official one with HR.

It seems that new hires have more maturity and emotional control than grown adult managers.

Executives are all smiles to all internal and external groups. However, behind closed doors all executives will cut you off at the knee cap if you are not helping their career advancement or maximizing their annual Restricted Stock Options which can be equivalent to their annual salary.

It’s impressive how good managers are at hiding toxicity. The bigger the smile the faker the manager. At the end of the day all they care about is their paychecks. Maybe some of these manager should seek therapy they might have had a father that held them a little to accountable. If you know you know.

I think I know the guy people are referencing. He recovered and is doing okay now. They caused him enough pain. I think he just wants to be left alone.

@ajrh+1tnEq4lb You ARE cheap labor. Or do you think Darren loves India? ExxonMobil is there because you're cheap. And if you resign there are thousands that will take your job as long as they ain't IIT graduates. Darren doesn't want smart and intelligent people in his company.

You know a company is going downhill when both the US employees and offshore employees are unified over a strong hate for leadership.

BTC is just people coming to do their work and being treated unfairly on a daily basis.

Imagine joining a company only to find out that your global colleagues hate you for no fault of your own. If managament cannot clearly articulate strategy and leaves everyone to fight it out, it is the ‘leadership’s( ugh)’ fault.

Many other American companies have figured out ways to work with India in a civilized manner.

So please take it easy with your BTC colleague. They didn’t ask for a position that takes another person’s position away. They’re just making a living, like you are. Tolerating the same BS like you are. Pobably worse because they send weird ‘leaders’ to India.

Next they might outsource the management of the PIP process to the BTC. Some dude in India will hop on your screen and ask what does good performance look like?

They call it BTC growth because it’s a virus that keeps reducing the quality of work. I’ve seen project teams start to sink within weeks.

Someone find the supervisor that is traumatizing kids. She would probably know survival rates. Not sure if she would know the hospital rates though.

One day you wake up and you realize after years of loyalty to the company you lost your wife and you lost the good life. You jump on Amazon and place an order for some knee pads. The pension and your anger are the only things you have left. This is what awaits those who stay long term! Leave while you have your dignity.

Thanks for confirming. Seems like NSI will tank your ultimate “potential”, even if every year is supposedly a “fresh slate”. Even if you pass, will you always be the easy person to slap NSI onto in the following years? Circular logic, but because you’re NSI you’re low potential, and because you’re low potential you’re NSI.

It’s almost always guaranteed doom. In the short term you can recover for a few years and try and get back on track but long term you will
always be marked.

Is NSI possible to recover from (long term), or is it guaranteed doom?
