Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Today is the Day! Over 1000 Global Roles eliminated. 500 More Soon to Follow

Recall the Olympic-level brain trust of SS/ML/AO/ST that was reported months ago as to being behind slashing jobs across the world in order to quickly meet the Bain Spreadsheet Objective? Well, it was originally slated for mid June. Moved out to week of July 22.

Important Notes --
✓ SS was finally shown the door (Avaya Auditor said no more)
✓ ML&M learned the hard way that one should never openly speak about executive level moves until after they occur
✓ ST has finally been served a slice of humble pie
✓ AO just checks boxes per Bain
✓ Revenues keep nose diving, which expose the fact that the 1000 jobs eliminated will not be enough and they need to find 500 more jobs to eliminate ASAP
✓ Backlash due to removing top leaders is showing itself in even more revenue losses soon to be felt

REMEMBER THIS???

As predicted. Here is the additional 500.
Despite the damage control PR campaign in July (that made them look foolish b/c they claimed they were actually growing and hiring -- a violation of federal law)....where they claimed only 180 jobs eliminated it was MANY MANY more. But we all knew that.

Difference now is that they can't hide these 500 based on regional government reporting rules.
Oh. and ST has since been sidelined under the doomed Services group that she prepared to be eliminated.

They planned these cuts with the foolish assumption that they would be INCREASING REVENUE each month. Totally ignored that revenue was evaporating. This plan won't cure the problem. Many new problems now. This plan is already outdated.

Oh. And WHY IN THE WORLD do we have so many NEW LAYERS OF MANAGEMENT??? This math doesnt make sense!

When they told me I would lose my job, I was curious to see who in the company was kind to me and who was not.

Please share Region / Job Function / Package Offering?

NOTE: I would advise trying different VPN servers/services as some appear to have been blocked.

With all the rounds of layoffs since Sept 2022, Avaya has to be south of 4000 employees now. Does anyone know the true number? It appears they don't care, they just putting up a mythical facade while they are cleaning out the garage before the fire sale that's coming. Avaya will be gone soon through consolidation. Better polish up those resumes!
