Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Just a Transaction. Nothing more. Avaya s a Hold Co.

They just shuffled the deck chairs. But the ship is still going down

Nothing is different from JC days. Nothing.

  • Still Posturing to imply Avaya has a revenue generating base that is severely exaggerated
  • Still working toward next phase (be it being acquired, going private/public, etc.) No different than JC. Just at a different stage
  • Different Day. Same story. A handful of white men trying to make something out of the assets of Avaya. Just a $$ Transaction vehicle for a big payout for their pockets. 18-24 mos ago it was the Verizon bretheran bullying and intimidating to try to attain their pay day. 15 mos ago JC and KC. Now is not different. Just a new group of white guy friends at the helm. With the token brown women who should be in jail.

Technically, Apollo didn't BUY Anything!

Apollo used insiders to blackmail Avaya leaders & BoD Members to take Control, STEAL Equity via practiced lending and accounting maneuvers. Via leveraging loose US Chapter11 laws

Apollo didn't buy Avaya to "win", they bought Avaya because it generates cash and they'll just keep cutting costs to keep milking the cow. Avaya, and the broader premise market, is in structural decline and will not return to growth. PE buys into businesses in structural decline that throw off cash because the game plan is to cut costs faster than the revenue shrinks. No way Apollo sees Avaya as a bad investment, this is their playbook. They just need to get more aggressive and ruthless in cutting costs to outpace the revenue losses from the bankruptcy.

Unless you want to be one of those "cost cuts", you better be looking for a new role. If you wait until Avaya decides to cut you, you'll be hitting the market with no momentum.

The post by @esqv+1omKXFPI raises the biggest concern. The cycle appears to not be broken. Is there an accurate count of countries they operate in? Is there an accurate count of true cloud offers, not failed acquisitions that proclaimed cloud, and no longer exist. There area talks of a serious revenue gap which will result in large numbers of people losing their jobs shortly. Is there anything new happening to fix the problems, or are things so bad that it’s beyond repair and the owners are looking for a buyer so they can wash their hands of a bad investment.

I've been the biggest defender of Avaya.

Yet even I can't find the words to debate the Chinese roadmap of hyperbole and redirection that the SEC filings contain. I don't believe I've completed 50%.

What's Most frustrating, is how predictable it all is. Dejavu. We've played this record before, no?

The analysts focused on the UC space found a way to keep the income rolling in...no matter the facts. They don't believe they need to change
And the f'in LAZY and not well polished and very poorly educated UNSOPHISTICATED corporate communications team does know anything BUT keeping positive relations with analysts. It's ridiculous glad-handeling and it's gone on for 5 years way too long. It would be funny if it weren't sad. Same team hired and promoted Batman. And id--t personal Brand. C'mon people.

6/8 of the Judges are KNOWN to be on Avaya Payroll. Have ZERO Objectivity.

It's possible all 8 are on payroll.

The UC leader of the year just proved it is pay to play marketing.

A real "Leader of the Year" would have prevented Ted Chapter 11.

A true Leader of the Year wouldn't have tell the easy route and the bonus. They would have taken it on the chin to do the RIGHT thing for Avaya and it's legacy.

OMG. Yes!

The same untalented Pay to Play corporate communications strategy, too! Force out 'SPIN Narrative' via the sad group of pathetic paid-off publications and bought-off analysts.
