Any chance somebody is willing to share severance package details from this round with the rest of us? Has Macy's made any changes?

I couldn't find the SEC filing when I tried to look it up. Is it still valid????
please help!!
I was working at macy's for almost 5 years in men shoes department as a sales associate (commission), the company laid me off on 06/30/2020 without any notice from the management, i only got an email from the HR saying that i'm laid off from work because of the covid situation, they mentioned on the email that i'm eligible for the severance package and they are going to pay me for 4 weeks. i have almost 100 hours vacation that they did not say anything about it. can anyone tell me what to do please !!!!
I got a call two and a half weeks ago saying I wasn’t going forward and that I’d receive an email and a physical letter with the details of my severance. I’ve seen nothing. Anyone know how long it takes? I already opened up an HR ticket.
This explains why they took "Manager" out of our title a couple of months ago and replaced it with "Specialist" possibly trying to get out of lawsuits similar to the one described in this thread. Anyone think that makes a difference if you had "Manager" in your title the last 20 years? Can we file a lawsuit with a good chance of winning?

“Executive” means an employee of a Participating Employer whose position is at or above the General Merchandise Manager (GMM), Senior Vice President (SVP), or equivalent level. In addition, in exceptional circumstances for recruitment or retention purposes, management may designate certain employees below the GMM, SVP or equivalent level as “Executive,” provided such employees have a position at or above Vice President (VP) or its equivalent.
Please be aware that every severance is different according to job title. Be very careful and consultant an attorney before you decline the severance. You may find yourself in a very bad situation. If you are not in a management position it may be difficult to win a 24 month severance.

That is amazing and thanks for sharing.
Sorry for the late reply.
I filed suit against the "company" and papers where served almost immediately as in same week from my attorney.
It took Macys only 2 short weeks to respond by honoring the SEC filing and settle my attorney fees before we even got the case heard by a judge. Total time was about 3.5 weeks from the first BS offer until the honoring and settlement.
Post ID: @105o7gte-tqf Can you tell us how long it took from you filing suit until they paid out the full amount per the SEC filing?
Great info, -tqf. Do you know if that also applies to SOEEs who are not people managers (but are defined as overtime-eligible executives)?
You guys do know that you do not have to take their offer right..?
I was a Manager and they offered me a severance of 26 weeks my weekly salary also + vacation and benefits buy out.
I did not accept that offer and contacted my attorney. For $1,200.00 we filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination and for purposely misleading incorrect policy offer for an executive.
We used their own SEC filing found here:
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/794367/000119312509248286/dex101.htm
To force their hand in paying 24 MONTHS my annual salary.
They tried to state that I was not a V.P. level or above as stated in article 5 of the filing, however we leveraged the "Executive" definition in section 2 to use in accordance with the governments definition of what a "Manager" is to force them to settle out of court paying the full 24 month's lump sum.
A manager described by " The department of labor" The Department of Labor (DOL) defines primary duties as “the principal, main, major, or most important duty that the employee performs.” ... In the case of the executive exemption, an employee wouldn't need to have “executive” or “manager” in his or her title to qualify for the exemption.
I base rate was 100k per year or 8,333.33 per month x 24 months and still got to get paid out on my 5 weeks vacation.
" IF YOU ACCEPT THE OFFER OF 26 WEEKS SEVERANCE, THERE IS LEGALLY NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO THEM" The key is to not accept the 26 weeks to begin with and ask for their own 24 months policy. and describe to them what a "Manager" is in the eyes of the law.
You guys can use this thread also. This occurred in 2018 - So the SEC filed policy is still intact and valid.
Are the layoffs just in San Francisco or did Johns Creek get hit?
Spoke to a director and manager impacted. Directors get 26 weeks, regardless of time, and vacation paid.
Managers get 13 weeks, regardless of time, and vacation paid.
Foe High level executives still in effect today filed with the SEC for any salaried persons.

All indications are that it's a week's pay for each full year worked as of your last day.
As if it isn't enough that I worry about layoffs, now I worry about reduced severance as well...
