I worked at Lowes for 8yrs. What a Joke of a Employer. I left 4yrs ago and never looked back. I still have to go into the Lowes I worked at and still see really good people I worked with ,that are really, really beat down. If you come to work at Lowes as a motivated ,enthusiastic, dependable employee,,,give it about 1 to 2 yrs. They'll beat that out of you. The main reason I left is --Lowes overall-- Just turned me into Someone I didn't like anymore.
My advice is to not go to work there period.

MST is a joke. if they want to save money, just get rid of this M-f waste of time. they think they run the store and god help you if you correct their mistakes. Even their supervisors think they are a part of management...if that is the case then they should be on a closing cycle like all other managers and supervisors.

How many flooring specialists know that Service Pro is a joke? They are Lowe’s and they are stealing from your customers and Lowes is their partner. Don’t let management hold you accountable for your sales, make them accountable for their choices

They started laying off corporate IT people that are the newest hired no matter how long they have been there. They are cutting back to 2 IT techs per distribution warehouses and have back ups from corporate offices in case of extra help. Feel sorry for those affected that have been there over 10 yrs or more.

Ask why they add 4 inches both directions then add up to sq. Ft also each cut or scan by their programmed measure device to make sure their free install is not

Installed Sales Nationwide is being Centralized. All team members holding those positions will be let go or can grab inside the stores.

I got fired on 11/4. I was the best plumbing specialist and plumbing guru in my store. Also a female! But they pulled me in the office told me I didn't finish the IRPs when it was days I didn't work. No it's ands or buts... I was gone, no proof, no help. Since I have left they have been firing the best people they have, and overworking the rest. It's all about the dollar for the stockholders. We are just a number... Literally! I took my unemployment with a smile. Looking for a job but enjoying the holidays without having to worry about my irradic schedule.

Anyone hear anything about installed sales? The IS manager was recently fired at a store in my area and they are not posting the position.

As others have alluded to already, full-time hourly/non-management positions will pretty much all be going away—with perhaps just a few exceptions. And those that remain will be expected to work wherever they are needed at any given time, including on the sales floor or running a register and with OPEN AVAILABILITY. Unless you qualify for one of those very few position and/or accept a position as a supervisor or manager, you really need to think about finding another line of work.

Delivery sounds like Marv wants to schedule them on a a$$ needed basis. No wonder why we have one delivery guy in our store! Who wants to lift push and pull heavy stuff around and have inconsistent rest then drive the lows box truck around tired every day. Happy super spreader Friday

Your numbers up full-timers. Only full timers left are going to be the DS.

Nearly every full timer that has left my store has been replaced with a part timer.

Marvins plan hire as many part timers during the pandemic for a bigger tax write off. Profits will soar and the service will drop

I can see them getting rid of specialist and taking away there bonus to save money. Regular full time employees should be safe. If they need to eliminate any jobs it should be dept. Supervisors and or Asms. Those are the most overpaid lack of customer service jobs throughout the company. Not all of them are but as a majority company wide these are the positions that waste money.

If that is the case, what is the point of having a sales manager?

They will be laying off some full time associates to save money in Jan 2021. They will replace with more part time people. Part of Marvin's plan.
