@qhto as you just found out, the poster didn’t censor the word - this website automatically censors a whole bunch of words so the snowflakes don’t get offended.

The guy below editing the world “As--ulted” tells me everything I need to know about Findlay.

More positions moving to Houston. Findlay folk being asked to relocate. Job postings for schedulers and traders posted for Houston on the job board. ITS. HAPPENING. #HoustonOrBust

Crime statistics in Houston like other big metro areas say it all. Only a fool would risk being mugged, as--ulted or worse, just for a paycheck. Be smart live frugal and avoid any town with lots of gang graffiti. Graffiti is warning like a stop sign ... do not enter.

Texas has some good rural areas to live in away from big city thuggery. If you choose swinging off a bar stool, strip joints or dope heads on every corner then stay in the city. Texans affectionately call cities "the round up". Decent Texans sometimes have to do business in large cities then retreat to their rural farms where clean living flourishes. Where does your heart lay ?

Well we know who the Findlay folks are on here. Afraid of the big city where there are “those” people. Stay in your small town and never expose yourself or your family to anyone that doesn’t look like you. #BeAfraid

Big cities are never safe . Why risk your family's life and maybe your own . Stay in smaller areas and change jobs if need be. A clean life is never to be found where thugs out number common people just trying to work and live right.

Can't entice folks to move from Findlay nor hire local Houston (or industry vets) and keep the old school MPC mindset regarding salary. Not paying a Houston wage scale limits the candidates to only those who believe they've no choice but to take whatever MPC offers. Here's your sign ....

El Hefe Hess wants his people in the Houston office? How many times was he in the Houston office in 2023 or 2024? Welcome to 'cheap' Houston, where the company won't completely pay for parking, yes they make you expense ~$6/month bc that is efficient use of everyone's time to set it up, no gym, commuting 45 mins bc they low pay won't cover the high cost that is inner loop houston, since our office is in the middle of downtown.

Houston is indeed a large city with pros/cons ... overall, for the industry, it's 1000% preferable to Findlay. COLAs should open the eyes of folks who've believed that Findlay was/is the epicenter of the industry especially relative to salary. I grew up in a small town (much smaller than Findlay) but can tell you that neither Ohio nor Findlay rank at all relative of the industry with respect to just about any data point indicator you choose. Nothing wrong with Findlay but for optimization in the industry, it is certainly not nor has ever been the "mecca" of the industry as has been the long-held opinion of MPC leadership. Get down to the Great State of Texas ... as the song goes; "that's right you're not from Texas but Texas wants you anyway".

Hess wants his people in the Houston office. Houston isn’t the best but 120% better than inbred Findlay where everyone knows your business. We have an office in Houston that has space so come on down. Live somewhere where there is actually something to do.

Pray for a cost of living adjustment if you are moved. It is significantly more expensive and you'll be stuck in rush hour living in the burbs to stretch your dollar.

I’d rather stay in Findlay, Houston su-ks! You have 4 seasons in Findlay. You’ll have 1 in Houston. Factor in hurricanes, crime, traffic, boredom, pollution, cost of living, etc., makes it 10x worse. Houston is the worst place I’ve ever lived.
