There is only one instance mentioned on these recent threads of someone being "hired" by another firm, but it appears that the rep went independent and one of the independent platforms was willing to let them hold their registrations there.
So, not a position with salary or benefits. Face it, the stakes are high if there is anything in your past that might cause a surprise termination. Would you be comfortable if everything you ever viewed on your work computer, laptop, phone, etc was printed out and reviewed in detail with two investigators? If not, don't bury your head in the sand.
