i think if you ,OP, write a strongly worded letter with your demands they will acquiesce.
Covid didn’t cause the inflation- government drunken spending did.
Inflation is currently 8.3% not 10%. Yes your purchasing power is less y/y.
I have consistently received 4% raises, and I am in the same situation. The thing is that Allstate looks for 2 thing, people to either get promoted to get more money and stay or for people to take that small raise each year and not leave. The ones that don't like what is going on leave, and that is why I gave my notice.
The way Allstate is they will never give you a decent raise when promoted which is what I found out. I was promoted and they hired an external into the same role with me who I found out is making quite a bit more than me, when I asked my manager he said it is because the other person was an external and they are under different rules, so a person with less experience and less time with the company gets more money than I do.
We project by working from home you saved 8% I'm not having commuting costs etc.
If I understand you correctly, you are now blaming your company for countrywide inflation and they should suck up the cost of it. Grow up already. If every company was taking on the cost inflation…oh never mind, you wouldn’t understand
3% sounds nice. BTE 1.5% here
Yup!!! Merits do not cover cost of living increase. A new competitive salary market analysis would do that. Important to understand.
You are figuring this out 6 months later? You must be a data scientist with allstate
We all got screwed. Covid caused massive inflation. Rent and everything has sky rocketed. 2 or 3 percent raises do nothing
Yes.
