MT says the turnaround is working, but with missed expectations and all the actual results we see and hear from customers daily, how much longer will Wall Street give this guy a chance?

Some stores are getting a makeover while others are so dumpy. BBB a boutique? It’s like putting lipstick on a pig!
This is nothing but an online store and all the CEO’s focus should be is converting this place into an online store and closing all physical locations You can get better quality cheaper. That’s the reality of BBB. Nice run but this company is irrelevant. If you chose to stick around have fun Easier ways to make money. Plenty of jobs. Just gotta make an effort. Loyalty does not exist in business.
"you are being used"?? Of course you are! And you are being paid? Then you are being used for your work..and you are using them for your paycheck..that is how the work world works.
MT is the CEO for one reason only, to make the the majority stockholders, the capital investment groups money , PERIOD!
If you watched the interview on Jim Cramers show, MT ‘s strategy is to turn BBBY into more of an online operation than a retailer.
So if you’re looking for a long time career with BBBY at the retail level, forget it, you’re not the focus of the strategy. The suits are squeezing every penny out of the assets of this company, and store managers and employees are NOT assets, they’re liabilities.
I’ve seen and lived this movie and it doesn’t have a happy ending.
I can not emphasize enough for you to please not waste your precious time or life with this company. You are being used, you are nothing but a tool, a means to an end. Invest your time in something more positive in your life.
Hey MT lover, why don’t you spend your time posting fake reviews of our new store brands Online to make people think they are actually worth purchasing. Might be more helpful than trashing others opinions.
Why are there so many MT boot lickers here?
Hey..MT hater..if you do not like the way the company is being run why do you stay? Use your energy to find another job rather then post about how poor a job you think corporate is doing..you seem to have a lot of negative energy going on..what does posting on here accomplish?
I love how you can’t answer the question about what MT is doing differently, so you shift the focus. OK, anyone with C-suite executive experience. Does that make you feel better? Again, what is he doing differently to drive top line sales and differentiate BBB?
If "anyone" can do it..why aren't you a CEO? I cannot believe people with entry level jobs think they can run a company.we all start at the bottom but seriously know your skill set
If your shelves are empty, I’d recommend asking your SM if your location is closing.
It happened to 3 stores in my district and the employees weren’t told until liquidation date was set.
You guys sure put MT up on a pedestal. What new ideas has he brought to BBB that have not been done at other retailers? Anyone can reduce expenses, increase efficiency and change product assortment to increase margin. What are the plans to differentiate BBB that will drive top line sales and increase market share? He’s using the typical turnaround playbook, nothing new.
Childrens Books? So funny!! Hahaha! You want contributions? Let me contribute some advice. 1. Try being at least a bit positive..the constant negativity is very draining. 2. Remember MT has an extensive resume of top level jobs. I have seen posts on here mocking his experience and even his ethnicity (unneeded and very immature). You may not agree with his choices (i do not always)but does YOUR resume come close to his? 3. If you do not like it leave..plain and simple..there are tons of jobs out there..many remote
I think some people in here need to realize how absurd their thinking is. Now polish off your cashier resume and apply for a CEO job
Reading…a lot…of children’s books doesn’t make one intelligent. You only come here to complain about others posts rather than contribute. Will you still come here to post after BBB is out of business ?
Other financial analysts? Meaning you are one? I do read..a lot...and I am intelligent enough to know I am not qualified to run a multimillion dollar company..it is so laughable the posters on here that think someone would come in..wave a wand and all would be better..or that they know what MT is thinking..what is even more laughable is that you stay..tons of jobs out there
My store doesn’t have cashiers. The three of us that are scheduled just take turns ringing up the two to three customers we get each hour.
You don’t need an MBA to repeat what other financial analysts are saying. If you did any reading you would know that.
It feels like Bbby is going to continue to lose money for a long time. Customers need a reason to come in.
Bbby sold a lot of stuff off at a minimum just so Mark Tritton could have his name on 40% of the product in the building. How quickly will the customers need to replace all of that? ie. hangers, stainless steel cookware, gadgets, bath organizers, etc. The new stuff is same or lesser quality. When will it come in?
My store tells customers there are supply chain issues. Really? Why are other retailers selling Cuisinart and other national brands and toasters, electric can openers, pillows, ice cream makers and all kinds of other stuff. Why can’t bbby can’t get them? Really?
It’s just frustrating. The customers deserve better than this.
So the OP is a business analyst? Where did you get your MBA from? Why dont YOU run the company?? The "actual results" are not what you see and hear..SMH..another cashier who thinks they know it all.
He already said straight up front it was a three year plan. So as long as there continues to be some measure of progress, they will let him have his three years.
