I worked for Bbby for 15 years until I was furloughed then layoff with a bunch of other very valuable coworkers. I realized that all the years of hard work I put in was not enough to keep me. I never in a million years thought that I would get laid off. So I am saying this to all of you who are still there and unsure and worried about your future with the company. That feeling of uncertainty sucks and is stressful. I was unemployed for 8 months. I had several interviews and still no one wanted to pay me what I was making at bbby. It was frustrating but I knew that I had a lot to offer. Fast forward a year. I work for a company that has valued what I have done and the experience I bring. My advice to you is to not settle and waste your time for a company that does not have a positive future ahead . There are plenty of companies out there. You need to really believe that you are better and deserve better. Change can be scary but it is necessary for growth. I loved working for bbby and made a bunch of lifelong friends but me being laid off was a blessing in disguise. I see it now and would not change anything. Good luck to all that are still there.. I hope you guys open your eyes and find something better.

The Corporate Goon is back in the room
Change is rough after being at a place of employment for so long, the best thing to do is leave on your own terms and prepared before you are forced to leave unprepared. The direction this company is going leaving now before you are ultimately let go will be the best for you. Even if you are employed at BBB for many years their pay has always been trash and you will most likely be paid more at the start in a new company. Throw in the feeling of actually being valued and not just a cog in the wheel, I have no idea why anyone would stay.
Good for you! I’ve been here 22 years and am looking. What area of the country we’re you in?
