Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Let's stay focused on layoffs

Why overload this board with a ton of repeated posts - I reported this to the admins - it discourages people from participating in discussion and skews the perception as only one topic ("Shut down B") keeps repeating.

Ryan is on his way to Bartlesville September 14th and he is not holding a town hall to congratulate them!

See, there you go again assuming I meant one thing to control the narrative. My nurse may be a guy, but you didn't have the decency to ask.

Stop trying to blame social injustice on one person. I don't know what has brought you to this point where you are becoming a armchair warrior for social causes, but know this: as long as there is incessant finger-pointing, you will always be a victim. You need to be the victim, otherwise you thoughts and opinions are as pointless as a pi$$ in the ocean. In the famous words of Dumbledore, "Shake it off!"

Gorilla lovin, nurse narrative and fecal jokes were all a tongue-in-cheek comments at the topic of this post: "Let's stay focused on layoffs". I mean, come on, this is the internet. I would be in my right mind to post about "Fake Fight: Chuck Norris vs The Most Interesting Man in the World".

This thread is getting out of control. There's different strokes for different folks, it's what makes the world go around. ConocoPhillips is an equal opportunity employee, regardless of race or sexual preference. Can we please get back to talking about shutting down Bartlesville?

It is your (and others at ConocoPhillips) lack of diversity and views which are out of step with the rest of America, which has led to the decline of this company and unfavourable public policy to our industry. For example, the Civil rights act was democratically passed as law in 1964 - yet 52 years later you still spew homophobic bile on this board. You are a dinosaur.

You bet my nurse is with me. Straight jacket isn't so much what I am wearing, it more describes what my nurse is doing to me. Padded walls for absorption, of course.

I hope you are somewhere safe with padded walls and a straight jacket ... is your nurse typing these replies for you?

Let's test just how progressive you are...

People like you say that gorillas should be able to be emancipated based on their ability to cognitively process speech, empathy, etc, and deserve equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Who's to say that I can't enter into a sexual and emotional relationship with said gorilla. Of course, for the safety of the neighborhood he would be in a cage. But that doesn't matter, because that's love and who are you to say otherwise?!

So much hostility against white people and heterosexuals. I think that it is people like you who say "you are inhuman if you do not change your viewpoints to match my own". Take your hateful language to BP where you would be celebrated for your vocal bravery against "regressive peoples and mind sets".

That was only an insult in your narrow-minded world.

The problem business imperative is that you (and others at ConocoPhillips) take that back to work, the business impact is a hostile climate to anyone that is not a homophobic red neck like you.

It is this lack of diversity that has lead to the decline of this company and the industry being out of step with public policy.

Its been my experience that comments of a "colorectal" nature are from a) closet homosexuals or b) red necks over forty that have just had their prostate checked. Which are you 3gjq? Both are fine, just curious ...

To @3upf and all of the other young, old, female, non American males that have been offended on this site by the proliferation of trashy and disgusting posts by so many white-trash, redneck, grassroots Trump supporters. I am sorry for all the insults...now if you want to talk about the ELT and ELT+1, I will be first in line to let it rip!

As a homosexual man, why do people insist that being g-- is a bad thing? Why is it treated like an insult? It sounds ridiculous when you try and insult someone on the way they are born.

Mark H has a girlfriend, so he's definitely not g--. I guess he could be bisexual, or maybe even a transgendered person. Regardless of his gender or sexual preference, the LGBT community at COP is glad to have him as part of our community.

At least Mark can take solace in the fact that COP management is supportive of his LGBT lifestyle. Since there was a series of three LGBTA presentations this past month, Mark should be proud to fly his rainbow flag. COP welcomes employees like him, even if he is in the minority.
