“To all of you that think we are all just complaining…. If we had anything POSITIVE to say, we would say it. The reality is this is a sh-t-show. The ship is sinking!!!!!“
It’s not about complaining it is the fact that there is no substance to them. This website was meant for awareness and post resources in regards to layoffs. The last few months it’s been neither. How many posts can you post about how the company screwed up, stock value and random posts. At this stage of the game if you dislike working with this company why stay. Find something that is stable and makes you happy. This company could care less about you so why stay knowing what you know. Now if you feel that there is hope then more power to you. As for me, I just left and couldn’t be happier.

Maybe the person on Wallstreet or the SEC has ties with our former CFO that jumped to his death? Clearly the entire financial system is being manipulated these days.

Bombshell 2.0: "The company plans to hold a special meeting on March 27 to determine the split at a ratio in the range of 1-for-5 to 1-for-10, with the final ratio to be decided by the board." They are in the business of selling stock deals, not selling home goods.

Everyone should be prepared to be laid off at any minute. I was let go during the month of January after only eleven months with BB&B and realized after the first month with the company that being laid off was inevitable. I worked those months with great colleagues and actually relieved when it occurred. I may be in a different situation but really did not care about being released and well aware this is not the only company that needs employees.

You may enjoy your store
You may enjoy your colleagues
You may enjoy your job

In the end, we are all a number on a spreadsheet where someone is trying to determine the maximum amount of savings they can achieve.

There are two choices:

  1. Take control of our own destiny and do not allow someone else to be in charge of your future
  2. Stay and continue to work while every benefit is slowly stripped away until your number is selected from the spreadsheet and leave with nothing.

Make the choice

“ Enter TheLayoff.com - The purpose of this site is to provide a space for anyone who'd like to discuss the possibility, likelihood or impacts of layoffs in a company of interest.”
It was never meant for complaining, unfortunately it’s been hijacked. 99.9% of post being created are disgruntled workers. 2021-22 there were a lot of helpful posts about upcoming layoffs. 2023 is shaping out to be complainers who didn’t take 2022 warnings seriously. We told everyone to jump ship and leave.

Sure, you're the sane one. You're complaining about people complaining on a site meant for complaining.

“ Sue and VP losers you’re welcome for all the money you get to walk away with when we have to worry about feeding our families and keep the heat on. Your welcome”
Hate to be the sane one here, but knowing what you know now why are you still working for this company. Many, including myself have repeatedly posted how there is 0 future, 0 severance and 0 customers. Find another job and stop complaining.

It’s ok Sue still gets her 8.4 million dollar severance package and 2 year’s health care coverage when we shut it down for good. They never planned to save us. They have been dismantling this company for every penny and lining their own pockets while kicking us to the street with not even a thank you for your decades of hard work. Karma is a bit-h. Sue and VP losers you’re welcome for all the money you get to walk away with when we have to worry about feeding our families and keep the heat on. Your welcome.

This is old news for those of us that went through it. To the person who why we stayed with no severance, we were still getting paid up til the end. It was better than leaving and shutting off income right then and there.

Try ordering something from the website. Almost everything is out of stock.

This is old news that is finally reaching the media. No severance, no 401k match, no freight, no customers, and literally no hope to survive. The meme stock buyers are the only thing that's keeping this sinking ship afloat. I feel horrible for the employees that have given their blood sweat and tears for this company, just to be treated this way. Instead of filing chapter 11 and restructuring their debt when they had a chance, they failed to act. Instead of selling their top asset (buybuy baby), they failed to do so. Now they made a deal with the devil to dilute the stock and to take advantage of the greedy and gullible meme investors that are hoping for a pipe dream. They are prioritizing pumping up the stock price with pointless press releases (sleep advice really?!?!?) and paying delinquent bills, instead of ensuring their employees are taken care of. It's time to snap-back to reality and realize it's over.

The dip in traffic isn’t the news it’s the fact that we don’t have anything they are looking for

If they are not paying severance why are the remaining employees still working there?

The main issue is there aren't many people that even think about shopping at BBB for any negative news to affect.

You haven't noticed the dip in traffic every time the company was in the news for layoffs? I have, every single time. Most customers we get are confused thinking we are a closing store wanting to know what the discount is.

I really don't think something like this is keeping the handful of customers that actually still shop at BBB to not go there.

It is not new information but unfortunately it does cause more customers to not shop with us.

This isn't new information, though. We knew they weren't going to pay severance after a certain wave...
