Keep in mind that while everyone is desperately cost cutting, the Queen is spending almost a million on private jet flights each year. That’s before the rest of general travel expenses like luxury hotels, security, food, etc.. Oh and her drivers cost over a mil per year. She spends $375k for “executive coaching” each year. T-IAA should fire that firm, clearly it’s not working.

TIAA still has over six billion in outstanding surplus notes. Participants pay the interest on those and eventuallly will have to pay the principal. That is not a race thing. It’s a business thing. Why do we still carry the debt from those surplus notes that were floated to finance the purchase of Nuveen and Everbank? What is the plan to pay that down?? With all the cost cuts and reduction in staff, you’d think we would at least pay some of it off, but we have not paid down the principal at all. We just keep paying the interest. Did the purchase of Nuveen create any additional growth or profitability??

I thought the dislike of T was mostly based on her appearance, but then I learned that Jose gave up a $20 million retention bonus because he hated working for her and just wanted to leave (despite a long and successful career building Nuveen). It’s true y’all!

These comments are not racist at all. People loved Roger cause he was open, honest, caring, and down to earth.

T is for Terrible. It has nothing to do with her skin color and everything to do with how she is treating the little people. It’s a T thing.

If you didn’t know, but T is super right wing. She just playing the lefty so she can build her street cred. I doubt she care about any of DEI stuff she talks about. I bet behind close door/ on her private jet she laughing about all it. All she care about saving money on taxes and getting her check. That why she moving the hq and her home address to Texas.

I agree with the two posts below.

Nothing screams hypocrisy like pushing a pro women/LGBTQIA+/family agenda while simultaneously investing billions of dollars in TX, a state openly hostile to individual rights, choices, and freedoms that should be afforded to all humans.

This company is garbage and it treats its employees like garbage. The “pseudo-best company” paid for circlej--kawards and virtue signaling (as opposed to holding ACTUAL virtues) are as transparent and meaningless as everything else Thasunda Been Duckin’ and the rest of the EC spout off.

The board should be ashamed of how far this once-great company has fallen on their watch.

Wish I could like your comment multiple times @4src+1ts8P9xl. That’s in my top 3 reasons why I and likely other folks won’t/can’t relocate there.

They keep praising that TX has no state income tax as a reason to move/live there, but neglect the fact that the property taxes are through the roof! A similar house in the Frisco area (without property taxes factored in) is at bare minimum 100K more than my current home (with property taxes factored in).

The idea that T deserves an award for DEI when doubling down on building our presence in a state that is legally hostile to LGBTQ+ people is ludicrous.

Her end game is to be the female Elon Musk: get rich, buy instagram, rebrand it to “T”.

Watch, next she’s going to start saying she was a “founder” of TIAA like Elon says she founded Tesla and other companies.

This all reeks of corruption and collusion (speculation, not actual knowledge). I wish a group of former executives (who still have big dollars at tiaa as participants) could rally support to push the board out, get rid of the trash that is running the place, and get back to what made TIAA special and successful.

The only DEI community T has helped is herself...helped herself to the dollars that should be going back into the general account for the benefit of participants. This woman is beyond a joke...she's a travesty for TIAA and will be the cause of its downfall. What an awful hire by the board...play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I sit in utter disbelief at what this company has turned into. Culture is a disaster, employees leaving, management just expands, fat pockets, fat bonuses, etc. And if you work in institutional you are double sc--wed over because they believe the way to growth is to monitor, measure, manage very aggressively BTW. Nobody really cares about anything except the internal bullsh-t and what might T or K ask for. I think the I only way to salvage this or is to bring back someone with a brain and a vision.

Exactly what is the end game.

It’s a paid recognition—a desperate attempt to try and get “the whales” to notice Tiaa … they paid for it from your bonus pool.

I have never seen such a narcissistic behavior from a CEO. She is gloating around in designer clothing and showing up for paid awards all on TIAA’s dime.

I think it is time for T to return her “borrowed” title. The library called and its way past its return date. It is truly amazing that there are so many awards that you can buy these days. Good for T that she is spending our participants money wisely on herself. Rule number one in the Grifters Handbook is that you should ALWAYS use others money for your benefit first. I am sure Andrew Carnegie is spinning in his grave as T and her EC slowly dissolve the company from the inside out. Strategy – #retireinequality. Business Knowledge – so overrated. Expenses – spend it on your pet projects and fire good workers. We never had Roger shoved down our throat as much as this lady. Can we get her smug mug off the intranet? I for one am sick of seeing it over and over and over again. I work for TIAA NOT T, the T in TIAA is for TEACHERS – our leaders should take a minute and remember that, and it is the money of teachers that funds their fat checks and that they are wasting.

LMAO! TIAA hasn’t even got their own employees to the “retirement inequality” initiative let alone participants or folks without a retirement plan they want to help with some rap song.

When they don’t give raises or bonuses and spend tons of money on a building (in an unsafe state for any one who is not a cis white male) or private jets… I don’t care how much match % they offer when most folks can’t contribute one red cent into because their current needs come first. Why mortgage our present for a future we may not ever obtain.

I feel worse for our participants than employees because at least we know what’s up. They are unaware of the atrocities going on and pathetic attempts to stay relevant when other companies are excelling and scaling properly towards the future.

Managing expenses doesn’t extend to flying T around to collect her paid awards. She loves pointing out that titles are borrowed because she definitely doesn’t cares more about building her personal brand than being CEO. Does anyone know what she’s actually being recognized for other than eloquently speaking about her “commitment” to doing “something” at some point in time about retirement?

Has TIAA created a single initiative to address “retirement inequality”? Or are they just marketing to poor black folk who can’t afford to retire to make T richer?

T ain’t a colleague, she a colonizer.
