Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Finance and IT cuts - Feb 2016

A WARN was filed... 255 in Oklahoma City folks. Mostly IT. Some in Finance. Work is being moved to IBM and they will fill it with H1B workers from India - they have a ton of them - they are underpaid but they love to come to the USA to take American jobs since they will be paid double if compared to what they make in India.

Some of the work will go offshore too, that's really horrible as OKC is hurting right now - all major companies are laying people off Devon, Chesapeake Energy, etc... It's really bad here right now.

When Tyler Best became Hertz CIO, this outsourcing decision was expected by many. That's how he "managed" at his previous companies. Now he's an overpaid CIO with no employees under him, for all practical purposes. The IT teams in Tulsa and Estero, FL (Hertz Headquarters) are also part of the layoff plan.

Fact: This is funny since I would not trust a single thing that comes from Hertz or IBM as it relates to the outsourcing transistion. Good luck Hertz. I hope Carl Ichan gets what he wants. Ashame we are going to loose another great American brand.

Computer World states paperwork filed for H-1B - STOP LYING WHO EVER YOU ARE - HERTZ

“IBM India Private Limited, an IBM subsidiary, has filed paperwork for numerous H-1B workers for a property in Oklahoma City. The property, according to government records, belongs to Hertz Technologies Inc., a Hertz subsidiary. At least two dozen Labor Condition Applications for this address were found in a random check at MyVisaJobs.”

OK bro - US IBM employees... How many of them are legally working in the US but are of Indian origin and currently have an #H1B visa?? Take a peak at the government listings - thousands and thousands of H1Bs were brought in, they are on US payroll, but working for wages lower than the prevailing rate - that's how they make money - and good luck for Hertz folks transitioning to IBM they will be kept until they train Indians who will do the job for 1/10th of the price - here is your data http://h1bdata.info/index.php?em=IB&job=&city=&year=All
