Minerva has continued to bring in significant venture capital. They are based in S.F., but they lack the academic legitimacy that Heald and its reputation can provide. This rumor continues to gain traction. The Minerva model may be the future of education, and knowing that Heald is right there at the cusp is very exciting! If anyone based in S.F. has more information, please share.

They don't believe it. You would, very literally, have to be mentally handicapped not to recognize how seriously screwed we are and why.
I started to laugh at 71470 and then I thought maybe this person believes this stuff. If this was the UFC, Heald would be done already like the raiders.
"Commitment to Excellence" doesn't only describe the Raiders under Al Davis. It embodies what we do at Heald every minute of every day. I won't overwhelm people with the math, but the number of moments of excellence that take place over 150+ years is simply breathtaking. Heald may be a bit wobbly (through no fault of our own), but you don't knock an institution down with one punch, or even a few. Those who want to take opportunity away from non-traditional college students will have to try a little harder. A word of caution: when Heald gets back on its feet, everyone in education will take notice. #changinglives

If this is true, it would be awesome! Minerva might do a stock purchse, so we could get in on the ground floor when they go public. Do you know if they are only interested in buying online? or all of the campuses?
