Severance checks are starting to pop!

My friend just said his severance was pending in his bank account. Oh boy….who is going out to put that down on an EV or Ford? Not I says the wise man. I still own 1 unit of Ford stock in my 401k. It costs them more to mail the annual report... — read more

Saving Ford with data and subscription sales

Farley committed to breaking out the financial numbers this year for Model e and data and subscription sales. I have seen NOTHING from our incubator, Ford Next, that implies their revenue/profit could possibly ever exceed that of the F150. Does... — read more

I don't like the direction Ford is going

I don't like how this company has been doing business for a long time. Since I disagree with Ford's management on most things, I gave notice. It makes no sense to stay somewhere and mostly disagree with company's direction. Maybe someone thinks that... — read more

Global Town Hall Meeting on 9-28-22

So my LL2 advised our group that 5% of the personnel were let go (recall that 3,000 represents about 10%) He just sent a department Global Town Hall meeting the day after our regular Town Hall meeting (on the 9-29-22). Interesting to see what he... — read more

Why All The New Labs If FoMoCO Is Cutting Engineering?

Experiences on the job market?

Even if it is really true that there will be no new cuts until next year, the best advice is to never stop looking for the next job. I've been trying to find something new for months and I'm not succeeding at it, probably because of my age... — read more

No way to make your job safer

Those who want to keep their jobs have no way to do it. They cut the best, which means that hard work and engagement mean nothing anymore. I don't bother trying to keep my job anymore because I know in advance that if Ford decides that I will be... — read more

Has anyone who has retired chosen COBRA? Is the added cost approximately the amount listed on your W2 "Employer Sponsored Health Coverage"? Also, how long can you continue COBRA coverage?

Word on the street is that there will be changes made to the pension plan. Sounds like those who are eligible will need to retire to keep what they have, or stay and risk having it modified in accordance with the new plan. Anyone hear the same?
