It's quiet on the board today, so I'm assuming the rumors we are hearing here are false. Basically, it's going around that the hammer was dropped with significant RIFs at a few locations (possibly Socle or Tampa EO). Any truth to them, or is it still... — read more
When time is infinite, you can never get closer to the end.
For some reason, every day at CCi seems to be a day closer to the end.
Manna from the heavens 2.0
And Jack looked into the Heavens, on his knee pads, and begged Him to make it rain - just like he used to do in the strip clubs. Make it rain 10% bonus checks in 10 weeks, aw lawd, please!!
CCi only put 85 schools "up for sale." That does not suggest that any campus will ever be sold.
Also there has been no SEC filing regarding discontinuing operations. Yes, there was a filing related to discontinuing/selling Heald, but the 85 were only "for sale." http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1066134/000110465914049394/a14-16284_18k.htm... — read more
I am starting the 'Save Your Colleagues, Work for Free!' Campaign
Just email Jack and let him know you're in! Since so many of you volunteered when the shut hit the fan in June.
CCI is selling or closing 85 schools
This is not news. A 10% paycut is better than not having a job. That will happen after the 10 week paycut period. I don't mean to sound like a jerk. But let's be real. They announced in the beginning if July they are going to sell or close. Why are... — read more
Arizona not allowed to enroll?
Any truth to this? Just heard it.
Look busy, people! Your jobs literally depend on it!!!
If any if the schools sell (though it doesn't appear that CCI can limp around for that long), your jobs are NOT secure. And new owners will not just be looking at reviews (because everyone knows reviews are only used to fire people.) They will likely... — read more
Pay cuts?
I haven't heard anything about pay cuts. Was an email sent out about this? Is is a flat dollar cut or a percentage of pay?
If there's any truth to that post, can somebody post the email of the 'potential' sale announcement of ECP?
Why are they telling students in CA? If it's the ECP campus, what students in CA need to be told? Sounds fishy. Seems weird a company would announce a 'potential' sale. Usually they announce a deal.
Reading all these posts about employees doing other than their jobs
makes me wonder how you all think you are bankable and save able? I doubt companies will want employees that are useless. And instructors at ECPO, don't forget to keep doing Outreach. I never missed it once and will be happy to come back!
Potential ECP Sale
Email sent out to ECP Faculty today that there is a potential sale of ECP and an email going out to students in CA to announce this.
In 10 weeks, it's the end of Everest's summer term (final grades due Wed)
I think if they said 10 weeks and that's the end of a term . . . Do I need to be more obvious?
No way cuts are only 10 weeks
There is no way these cuts are just 10 weeks and that they plan on making it back up later. If you look at the deadlines for the bids and sales, these are permanent cut to normalize our pay dates to match most other companies and a way to further... — read more
Csc seems to be unaffected
I'm a call center employee and we have actually been given OT for the last month and through August. It really sucks that the campuses have been hit so hard. I do feel bad for you guys. The news here is that if they get a buyer they will want to keep... — read more

LONG but hopefully any of this helps at least one person
Largo has known of it's closing for a long time now. I did not start to get worried until December of 2013 as things seamed to be more than just a rumor. I asked my DOA if this was true and if I had stability with this school or should I start... — read more

48 hours we will know what is what since the final bids are for Heald
It wouldn't surprise me if the final bids for Heald includes a multiple year servicing from CCI/Socle. One of the lead runners has already stated they don't not want to handle the marketing, IT, etc for running the schools. So in 48 hours we will see... — read more

Remember that people telling you to quit are hoping to keep their jobs
My advice is not to quit unless you have a solid backup plan, savings, another job, etc. you can't just quit and expect unemployment next week. And the people on this board are desperate to keep their jobs. You quit, CCI saves money. Bottom line. And... — read more
How long does it take to sell a school?
"If you know how long...then say it." I can tell you this, sometimes it takes months for state approval, other times the approval comes right away. Some times it takes months for DOE approval, other times it comes quicker. Some times it takes months... — read more
You can fix this with a P-Card.
Pay cuts and 'voluntary' unpaid time off. How is moral likely to be going forward? Can lack of money and bad moral kill a company?
As much as some hate to admit it
Bain Capital has a long history of rebuilding bad companies into good ones. Dunkin donuts and dominoes pizza are 2 examples. Of course, Bain cleaned house in both instances, but they also are strong companies once again.
Is This Really Us Jack?!?! Is This Really us?!?!
Who is ready to work for free now? I doubt Jacko is!
What a laugh
Some of you really think that a buyer will mean you keep your jobs Bhahahaha
10% pay reduction for 10 weeks = 1.92% of your annual pay. For example, if you are salaried at $70,000, you will be paid 70,000 * 0.0129 less
$70,000 * 0.0129 = $1,346 less over the 10 weeks, or about $135 per week, which is about $270 per pay period. Calculation 10% of $70,000/26 periods * 5 pay periods (10 weeks) = $1,346. The 1.29% is 10% of 5 pay periods / 26 periods per year.
Document your hostile work environment to get unemployment benefits after you resign.

Do they expect staff to give 10% less? Will staff be penalized for giving 10% less? Does that mean I can work 36 hours instead of 40?
